The Trustees of Muckross House wish to extend a sincere ‘Thank You’ to everyone who supported Snap Ciarrai on the weekend of 23 and 24 April 2016.

Briefly, the aim of this project was to encourage people to photographically record different aspects of life in County Kerry on the centenary of the Easter Rising. When uploading their photographs to this site, people were then encouraged to vote for one of the four charities highlighted above. Each of the four was guaranteed to receive a minimum donation of €2,016 from the Trustees of Muckross House.

Almost 1,000 photographs were uploaded here. These will be retained as part of the archive of Muckross House Research Library and will form a documentary record of life in County Kerry. The final sum divided among the four charities was €15,000. The Trustees of Muckross House would like to thank everyone who voted for their chosen charity and for the successful conclusion of this event.
